Hide and seek

A curious human visitor
spies an insect aviator
caught in a dilemma familiar;
What’s a wasp to do
When a sapien is in its view?
Does it sting the intruder
Or dismiss the danger?
It dilly-dallies instead
Its eyes never leaving the biped
The question rattling in its head
While it slips behind a leaf
Then emerges for a moment brief
Only to nimbly retreat
before running its actions on repeat
Stealthily risking a peek
Then proceeding to sneak
Initiating a game of hide and seek
