After the rain

The cool elegance of the egret remains unshaken as it rests its feet in a puddle of water while plotting its next raid of the nearby pond.

The mynahs break into a melodious chorus, flinging away all arguments and fuss, all their differences carried away by the breezy raindrops.

The baby coucal explores the petrichor flavored terrain after the heady midday rain, while its mother keenly watches over and the father lets out shrill resounding cries warding off an unseen predator.
