A skink

Flashes of bronze, beige, grey, and silver
Reptilian glitter moving on the floor
It slithers, slides, and undulates
Flaunting flawless glinting scales
Sleek stripes visible in the shade
Lidded eyes openly gaze
At a feast of pests in the greenery
Its identity no more a mystery
Neither venomous nor poisonous
It is but a skink harmless
